Building the smart city

Water & electricity

  1. 💧 Water cools you down and powers the Hydro Shield (30) and the mid-air Water Jet (12)
  2. ⚡ Electricity powers the Lightning Dash (30) and, with water, the Battery Overdrive (40 + 40)
  3. Dashing builds heat; water cools it. Overheat and energy abilities lock until you cool down

Obstacles

  1. Barriers, conduits, broken track — jump
  2. Laser gates, drones — slide
  3. Security bots, machines, rolling cells — change lane
  4. Water leaks — slippery for a moment

AI Rush: a free 3D robot endless runner powered by water and electricity

AI Rush is a free online endless runner in which a friendly AI robot races through a futuristic smart city, playable instantly in your browser with no download and no account. Your robot, Hydro AI, runs forward automatically across three lanes in real 3D: jump barriers and broken track, slide under laser gates and drones, and change lanes around security bots and rolling power cells. What makes it different is the fuel system: collect water and electricity and spend them on a Hydro Shield, a Lightning Dash, a mid-air Water Jet and a Battery Overdrive.

How do you play AI Rush?

Tap Play and the robot starts running. Every obstacle shows you what to do by its shape: things on the ground you jump, things at head height you slide under, and anything that fills a lane you dodge by switching lanes. The first stretch of every run is obstacle-free, and the first run includes short on-screen tips that introduce each move, so you can learn the controls without a separate tutorial screen.

  1. Tap Play and wait for the 3-2-1 countdown.
  2. Swipe left or right (or press ← →) to change lanes.
  3. Swipe up (or press Space / ↑) to jump. Jump again in mid-air to fire a Water Jet.
  4. Swipe down (or press ↓) to slide. Pressing it in the air drops you fast into a slide.
  5. Collect 💧 water and ⚡ energy, then tap the power-up buttons (or keys 1 to 4).
  6. Reach the run goal distance to complete the run.

Water and electricity: the core mechanic

Your robot carries a transparent water canister on its back and an energy plug in its hand, and both meters show on the right of the screen. Water is for cooling and hydro abilities; electricity is for speed. Using a Lightning Dash or Overdrive builds heat, and the robot automatically spends a little water to cool down. Run dry while you are hot and cooling slows right down; overheat completely and your energy abilities lock until you cool off. You never need either resource just to keep running, but managing them is how you survive longer and score more.

Hydro Shield30 water. Blocks one crash and instantly cools you down. Lasts 8 s.
Lightning Dash30 energy. A 2.6 s burst of speed that smashes obstacles, pulls in coins and energy, and doubles your score.
Water Jet12 water. Jump again while airborne for an extra boost.
Battery Overdrive40 water + 40 energy. 6 s of triple score and double coins, with a blue-and-gold aura.
Magnetic CollectorUses a magnet charge (you start with three). Pulls coins, water and energy to you for 8 s.
Emergency RechargeA rare green battery on the track that refills 50 of your lowest resource.

Obstacles and how to beat them

Low barrierJump over it
Energy conduitA crackling cable across the lane: jump over it
Broken trackJump across the gap. Running into it means a fall
Laser gateSlide under the beam
Maintenance droneHovers at head height: slide under it
Security bot, lane-blocking machineToo tall to jump: change lanes
Rolling power cellRolls toward you faster than the track, with red arrows warning its lane: change lanes
Water leakNot dangerous, but the puddle is slippery: you can't change lanes for half a second

Frequently asked questions

Is AI Rush free?

Yes. It's 100% free with no account, no purchases and no paywall.

Do I need to download anything?

No. It runs directly in the browser on phone, tablet or desktop. You need a browser with WebGL, which every current version of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox supports.

Is AI Rush endless?

The track is generated endlessly and every obstacle pattern is checked so there is always a way through. Each run also has a distance goal that grows by 250 m each time you complete one, so there's always a next target.

What happens if I run out of water or energy?

You keep running. Low meters show a LOW tag, abilities you can't afford are greyed out, and tapping one tells you exactly how much more you need. Without water, heat from dashing cools much more slowly.

Is AI Rush related to other "Rush" games?

No. AI Rush is an original game by InstantGames.in with its own robots, city, obstacles and water-and-electricity system. It is not affiliated with any other game or publisher.

Is AI Rush similar to Minion Rush?

AI Rush sits in the same broad arcade running genre as Minion Rush, but it's an independent, original game with its own robots, a futuristic smart city, and a water-and-electricity resource system instead of bananas and power-ups. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Minion Rush, Gameloft, Illumination, Universal Pictures or Despicable Me. See our Minion Rush alternatives guide for a full comparison.

How is it different from Cockroach Surfers and Cockroach Run?

Cockroach Surfers is a subway runner and Cockroach Run crosses jungle temple bridges. AI Rush is the site's first fully 3D runner, set in a smart city, and the only one built around managing two resources.

Is my progress saved?

Yes, on your own device in your browser's local storage: coins, unlocked robots, run goal, magnet charges and settings. Nothing is sent to a server.
